Callao’s centennial continued with an unforgettable night of sequins, striptease, and cinema.
¡Ay Callao! was inspired by “el destape,” an iconic moment in Spanish filmmaking when strict censorship gave way to a new era of sex symbols.
Part-party, part-variety show, the night saw Cines Callao transformed into a cabaret hosted by Drag Race España’s Supremme De Luxe, with performances by Pupi Poisson, Miss Loot, Santa Catalina, and Alpilpil. Outside in the plaza, burlesque dancers, a photocall, and racy visuals on screen invited all of Madrid to participate, while pre- and post-event coverage on social extended the experience.
Ideated and produced by Dragons, this event was a roaring success, setting a new bar for our ongoing collaboration with Cines Callao.
